Again.<br />I had another post going about this rig and alot of help was gave.I have tried everything and the hole shot is still terrible.I have done the following so far.<br />1.soaked carbs/new kits<br />2.set link and sinc<br />3.new power pack<br />4.new plugs ( champions)<br />5.took it to lake yesterday checked timing on trailer at w.o.t. should be 28 degrees BTDC it was 36 degrees moved timing and I think its worse.I have a ballistic prop on it ( since 1992)I pulled it off yesterday put the original aluminum on , no change.<br />I have the jack plate set so that the cavatation plate is about 1" out of the water with boat on plane at w.o.t.<br />I am to the point that I may go looking for another engine.<br /><br />one more thing, when I was going to load it on trailer the gearcase locked up...
