so many things about a prop. Pitch, 3 blade 4 blade, SS, Al., what is the right answer. I use my boat for tubing and skiing. It's a 18 foot runabout with the 4.3L OMC Cobra. I just want a prop that is for the boat and will do what I want it to do???????

14 1/2 X 19 aluminum 3 blade is what was on it but I have to replace it.

I have the same boat and am currently running a Mercury Quiksilver power 2 and love it. A 14.5 19 pitch is a nice prop for getting out of the hole quick and a 21 pitch is a nice pitch for cruising and I have run both and prefer the 19 pitch for wakeboarding and tubing. My current prop is a variable pitch prop that shifts from a 17 pitch to a 23 pitch and you can actually feel the shift happen, much like a 2 speed transmission. You might try a land and sea variable pitch prop if you can find one as they are able to be adjusted to shift to different pitches for whatever activity you want to do from pulling to cruising.

The Power 2 is a wonderful prop but I believe out of production. With a limited parts supply.
When selecting a prop you need a prop that will allow the motor to rev freely within its wot rpm range.
If your happy with the performance and the rpm remains within the wot rating then stick with not.
A Solas Amita 19" should do well or the Solas Rubex the same prop with a removable hub.
If you could get us the information in the stickys at the top of the prop forum we can tell better if your setup works.

I like the variable pitch idea. Any thoughts on the 3 or 4 blade or Stainless or Aluminum

Steelespike is correct in the fact that that they are no longer in production, but if you look hard enough you can still find them (ebay). I just know what works for me with the same exact boat you have. Although they are a little spendy the smile on my wife`s face when it jumps out of the hole is priceless.I have pulled 4 wakeboarders up at once with no problems. If I had no other choice I would go with the Solas 19p Stainless 3 blade for watersports. Here is a video link about torque shift props Torque Shift Propellers by Land and Sea Video - YouTube I might know where one of these props is. How do you like your boat? I love mine. It was sitting in my driveway when I got home from Iraq in 2010 got to love my wife for surprising me like that. As soon as I can figure out how to post pics of it I will put some up. Good luck in your search for the right prop.

All my above statements are just my own opinion and what I know works for me. I am sure there are many more knowledgeable propeller persons here who can guide you on your search for the perfect prop for you. If you decide to buy one that is used you might ask the person if you can test it on your boat first to see if you like it (they may say yes). I will never run any other prop on my boat than a torque shift variable pitch prop.
