Looking at a 27 boston whaler with a pair of these motors. Any major issues I should be aware of with these motors. The owner claims they only have 175 hours.
at a 14 hour per year average I would say they are negleted POS's. the motors themselves were all but bullet proof if taken care of.<br />low hours does not nessasarily mean good shape. when was the last service of the oil,fuel and cooling systems?<br /> it must all be done on the yearly or hourly schedule whether its used or not. a 12 year old water pump will fry an engine.
