1992 40hp Johnson O/B Tiller Prop shaft question

Hello...first post but have been lurking for quite some time...<br /><br />I have a 92 johnson 40hp tiller. I have a bent prop shaft and water in the lower unit. I am wanting to go ahead and tear into it and go ahead and replace the water pump all seals etc... I have never tore into a johnson but have taking the lower unit on a merc apart. How hard is getting the prop shaft out on this motor? Can someone get me started in the right direction...I have a very good local machine shop that i am going to have try to straighten the shaft...any and all help appreciated greatly....<br /><br />Chad

You'll need a manual for your motor before tacking this project.Replacing the water pump and seals isn't that difficult.I changed my first waterpump without having the manual but i'd want one before tearing into the prop shaft.
