Loss of power at half throttle and higher. Has random misses causing engine to shudder. Sounds like there may be a knock inside. Top plug fouls.
Have read other problems and see mention of "stator". Not familiar with this-what is it?

What I've done so far:

Replaced sparkplugs.
1. Checked spark - Both plugs are firing
2. Checked compression - both cylinders are at 115
3. Replaced fuel filter between tank and fuel filter on engine.
4. Removed and cleaned fuel filter on engine.
5. Cleaned carb with carb cleaner. Power increases if we blow air directly into carb but still shudders and misses. No gas leaking from carb.
6. Squeezing bulb does not increase power.

The stator is somewhat of an alternator usually under the flywheel. This recharges the battery and supplies power to your engine. Testing will require an ohmmeter and a manual (try the library)will tell you which wires to test on. There are several different test that must pass to show your stator is good.
