1992 90 hp force no power

Help I have a 1992 90hp force with the old plugs in it will only achive 15 mph. When I install new plugs it will not start at all. If I put in one old plug with the new ones it will start. It does not matter which cylinder I put the old plug in. I suspect a weak coil am I on the right track?

90% chance you have a bum CD. Each of your CD's fires 2 cylindres. Thus you have a spare and a bum one and 2 good ones.

I found the problem it is the stator. I have no output voltage and the front of the stator looks melted. I also have 2 loose magnets on the flywheel does anyone know if they can be reglued
