as with most outboards it depends on how well it was kept by previous owner.<br />-<br />they are very easy to work on, and good preformers when running rite.<br />they make alot of torque & tend to be reliable when serviced properly.<br />-<br />make sure to do compression & spark test, along with operating tilt/trim.<br />then check status of lower unit oil.<br />-<br />i would buy another one.
