Where exactly should the roller ball be on the timing plate under full throttle? There seem to be so many adjustments in this motor. Its a 1992 9.9 2 stroke and I just put a 15hp carb from a 1987 on it. I'm barely getting more RPM after the carb swap. Thinking I have a link and sync issue. I was getting about 5600 RPM with the 9.9 carb and only getting 5800 with the 15hp carb. It also seems to randomly jump up about 300 RPM and back down on the top end. The attached picture is at full throttle.
