Is this 1992 Evinrude 115 flywheel missing something? or is this spot supposed to be open. Motor seems to be down on power at wot and noticed this when I replaced the rectifier / regulator. Thanks

Looks normal.----Start the trouble shooting with a compression test.----Then look for good spark on all leads.----And good spark will jump a gap of 7/16" or more.---Report what you find.

Compression is 106,107 passenger side and 119 and 120 drivers. To low of compression? I used a timing light and saw weak or no spark on the two bottom cylinders so I replaced the CDI module. It was better but after warming up started to lose spark.I noticed that the tach would work and then stop so I replaced the rectifier regulator and now the tach works and have spark at all cylinders.I changed the fuel / water filter and ran another gas tank to see if there was a difference before I replaced the rectifier and there was none. squeezed the primer bulb and there was no change as well. Checked the spark plugs and they looked good, gap was .035 so I replaced them and haven't been able to test. but it seems to not have power like before. The rpm's dropped 300 by adding 1 person at wot. Will do the spark test tonight. Thanks

Was finally able to check the spark and all leads looked to be at least 7/16. wonder if I should rebuild the carbs or is the compression to low on two of the cylinders.

Could be just a head gasket on the low cylinder's side (Passenger's side I assume is port side?)

Pull the cylinder head or the wee bypass covers to look at pistons and rings where you have 106 psi comression .
