Re: 1992 Glasstream
Seems high to me considering the condition, but I am comparing it to prices here in Tx.
If it seems reasonable to you, go have a look. Walk all over the deck. If you feel ANY soft spot, there is water damage, and that is a LOT of work to fix (try looking through the restoration threads here on iboats). Take a GOOD look at the transom are especially, from the inside and out. Have the owner take you out on it. (In fact, I would tell him when I called I wanted to do that, and if he refused, I would not waste a trip to see it) If he refuses, I DEFINITELY would not buy. You need to hear it run at WOT, not just on muffs. Make sure it runs correctly and without problems. Find out WHAT switches he is talking about. Could be no big deal, could be a VERY big deal!
The upholstry is NOT a big concern for me, EXCEPT, that is an indication it was not stored under cover, which CAN lead to huge floor and transom problems.
Best of luck.
