I have a 92 Johnson 150 that when you tilt it up for travel it leaks some fuel out and it runs down the midsection, not a bunch but enough to see and have to wipe off. My local marine mechanic said this is normal but how much is to much? He told me that when tilted for travel fuel will run out of the carbs. Is this normal ?

Your mechanic is correct, it's possiable for fuel to run out of the carbs when the engine is tilted.

Thanks for the confirmation, this is my first outboard so I am still learning all the little(big) differences between outboards and stern drives...
