Yesterday Strbd Engine's Motor Stopped Operating Leaving The Engine In The "down" Position. How Do I Get To Raise The Engine To Work On Tilt/trim Motor? Thanks.

Loosen the manual release valve. I can't remember where it is on your motor. You might also try swapping the relays. Its more common for the up relay to go quicker than the down.

on the port side bracket theres a hole, look in there for the valve.
use a wrench on the screwdriver or an impact driver to break it loose.
only loosen the valva.

THANKS BHILE AND jONESG FOR YOUR INFO. WHEN PRESSING THE UP/ DOWN BUTTONS ON BOTH THE THROTTLE CONTROL AND ON THE ENGINE ITSELF I DO NOT HEAR ANYTHING. I AM SUSPICIOUS OF A SPLICED WIRE @ THE TRIM MOTOR ITSELF ( PAST OWNER) THAT MAY BE "GREEN". IF THE WIRE IS BAD SHOULD I STILL HEAR THE SWITCH "CLICK" @ THE ENGINE? RUNNING TWINS AND OTHER TILT/TRIM FUNCTION IS FINE.

I had same problem,, check the connections ....There are female connecters going to the relays...mine were corroded...NOT a hard job .....Check one wire at a time ,,,its just a connection,,,nothing fancy,,,,,

Is there a tilt switch on the starbord side of the cowling? Will it work with that switch? Edit: sorry, you said it won't work with the switch on the engine. Check relays and if power to them.
