I am about three hours away from completeing my 10 hour break-in after a power head rebuild (bore, pistons, and rings). My manual says nothing about what to do after it is complete.

Should I replace the plugs? De-carb? Just take it off double oil mix and hammer down?

Also, should I check compresion in all the cylinders? If so what should I expect?

I have been holding its hand for so long I feel like a father watching my baby girl off to school... I'm feeling a little nervous now that I'm nearing the end.

.

Yes. Just continue to vary RPMs for a while and don't hold WOT all day.

Where I boat (Puget Sound, WA) the tidal currents, wind chop, and yacht wakes that make WOT nearly impossible. I would probably have a better chance of riding a Unicorn to the far side of a rainbow before holding WOT longer than 30 sec.
