1992 Johnson slow speed troubles

I have a 1992 Johnson that runs great at full throttle and at fast idle, but when idled down to low speed it runs for a few seconds coughs then runs for a few seconds then coughs again etc. I have changed all the fuel filters,fuel hose,primer bulb,spark plugs,and stator. Hey garryg,<br />That "cough" you speak of zounds like what is known as a sneeze. Typically, 2-strokers sneeze at idle because they are lean so I would start looking for stuff that would make thay puppy run lean. Air leaks, dirty carb,etc.Keep us briefed.<br /><br />g'luck & c/6<br /><br />Hooty
