1992 Marine Power 454 Inboards Operating Temp

I have a luhrs boat with 2 1992 marine power 454s fresh water cooled Have only owned this boat for 2 yrs last season I had to keep it at a slow speed due to a bent shaft. The other day I was finally able to open it up 3300rpms I noticed one engine runs 195-200 other one 185..195 to me that sounds kind of hot. The water pumps are new I replace impellers every at abot 2500rpms thet stay at 175 what is the normal operating temp?

Normal operating temp's are what ever thermostat temp is installed in the motors. Gauges can be off compare the actual temps of the motors with a IR temp gun at the thermostat housings. What are the water temps you running in?

Just ordered a temp gun il check it out sunday when I take It out to verify. I dont know what temp tstats it has never took them out might pop it apart just to check. The current water temp is 75f give or take.

Your saying the motor are fresh water cooled and to me that means raw water and no heat exchangers.
