Hey so as title states I got a 1992 Merc 75hp 3 cyl OD176094 key intermittently not working.
Basically its a 1 in 20 odds that when you go to turn on the motor with the key nothing happens, if you cycle it a few times it has so far "fixed" itself and will turn the motor over.
I am just curious what would be the potential things to look at?
this has maybe happened half a dozen times at most and not a common occurrence however I rather fix something before it gets worse or damages something else in the process.
I know these have a neutral position switch and a lot of people have changed the switch box in theirs however most of the issues I have read involve mainly no spark/ weak spark but still have power to the starter.
once it starts the motor runs perfect its just once in a blue moon turning the key to start the motor and nothing will happen.

I deleted the alarm module as it was faulty, oil injection deleted,
