I have a 1992 Mercury 115hp OB. I replaced the tilt & trim assembly with a good used different type. Originally it had a single ram, now I have the 3 rams model. I connected wiring to existing relays on side of motor (sealed type), and it keeps blowing them. Actually if I connect just 1 relay it goes up (or down) with no problem, but with both connected it goes very slowly. I connected a volt meter and when I push "up" I get + on both wires (blue and green). I think I might have to replace relays with the "starter" type since the existing ones might be too weak to support the 3 rams type.<br /><br />Any other suggestions ? I'll try other relays and see if it does the trick.
