1992 SEA RAY 220 Bowrider Restoration Begins!!!!!

ive been asking questions on this forum for a bit now. i started to rip out the deck of my bowrider so i can replace the old carpeted dirty floor with a new fiberglass deck. the boat will need some stringer work as well. i am in the process of cutting out the deck still and removing the foam. heres some pics

Nothing like the smell of rotten wood. I just chucked my last piece today that had been sitting around in the garage for a transom pattern.
No more smelly. Keep on truckin'.

got alot done today but didnt get any pics. ill get some first thing tomorrow morning and some more at the end of the day. been removing alot of foam!!!!!!

That will be a nice looking Ray when your done. Off to a good start. When it seems like your getting in to deep or things just are not going your way, take a break and think about what you are going to have in the end and of course remember what our friend frisco did with his restore and how it turned out. can anyone tell me how much pourable foam im gonna need to re-foam my hull??
i was looking at the 2 lb foam from aeromarine? any thoughts. its raining today so i dont know how much i can do today

those are some more pics of my progress. its going but its going slowly as i am doing it all by myself. i sucked out alot of water today lingering under my foam. foam for the most part was in good shape. i bought a multi tool that helped a great deal, using the 3" saw blade to cut out some tight corners. hopefully the weather stays nice tomorrow so i can get some more done!

Personally I use and prefer photobucket.com for hosting pics. But if you insist on using iboats, I believe you need to click the "Go Advanced" button when posting and upload your pics from there in order for them to work. This is a glitch in the forum software that they are allegedly working on.
