I am trying to install a cylinder head temp sending unit on a 1993 Yamaha 225. I have run into dead ends with acquiring an after market z-bracket sender as well as any Yamaha parts. My local dealer hasn't been able to help. There is a circular indent (port?) on the top, starboard side of the cylinder heads. It is a smooth bore, no threads. This looks like a logical mounting location. Gauge is already in console, (Faria multi-gauge) and I have hooked up all the other functions.

This is a 1993 Proline 230 and is new to me. I "rescued" it a few months ago and have been trying to fix all the previous "fixes". Yup, you know what I mean.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks, that was my backup plan, so I will put it on my fabrication list of other things not available any more.

use a water jacket bolt to attach the bracket not a head bolt.
