1993 3.0 merc with merc carb

I seem to having one hell of time with this merc carb. It strated with the venturi cluster dripping so a rebuilt the thing. I had to increase the float height from 9/16 to 11/16 in order to get the drip turned off. Now the electric choke is crazy i cannot rely on any setting i set it at....aka i have to manually hold open at a certain point and she runs great.


One crazy thing might be getting in the way....No thermostat yet...Could that be the problem it cant sense the motors heat range as in being to cold
