1993 5.0 omc motor

out of the blue my 5.0 omc ford cobra motor started missing, i changed to the plugs, no help.<br />i ended up taking it in, they said the spark was ok. the service place did tell me that 3 of the fuel injectors are not getting voltage. they also checked the compression and it was ok. part of the problem is that no one in the cleveland area seems to have the software to work on omc motors. does anyone have any ideas or know of a place that can work on omc's. there are twins on this boat and the one motor is running fine. i know this doesn't rule out fuel contamination, lets face it i'm lost

The book I have for this engine says, injection system repair beyond the scope of this manual. The wiring diaghram shows a TFI-f1 ignition module, which is Ford, There is 3 wires going to the injectors from the EEC, Makes me think that the injectors are opened in sets of four. If this be true, then I think you have wiring problem. <br /><br />Wire colors for 1st set of four,<br />tan, blue, black/white, cannot id 4th wire, may be tan/blue<br /><br />Looks like 1,4,5,8 injector open at the same time,<br />and 2,7,3,6 injector open at same time.<br /><br />Wire colors for 2nd set of four,<br />green, white, brown/white, cannot id 4th wire, may be tan/orange<br />The one common wire,<br />purple/black<br />Look like all of these wires go to a connector and then 3 wires goes to the EEC. <br /> I would check the connection where the wires split and go to the injectors, the injector harness, and the wire connectors on the injectors.

There is an individual in the Cleveland area who goes by the name of "StrokeMaster". I'm not sure of the phone number, but he is in the local phone books. He works out of his home and is pretty much a genius, in my opinion, when it comes to boat repairs. Give him a call, he may be able to help you. Hope this helps.

THANKS TO ALL THAT HELPED. IT TURNED OUT TO BE A BAD ECM. ALL IS FIXED OR AT LEAST UNTIL I GET THE REPAIR BILL
