1993 50 hp Mercury trim and tilt manual release valve

The tip of the manual release valve broke off at the first of the three o-rings. Does anyone know how to remove the small broken tip that is stuck in the pump body without separating the pump body and cylinder? Thanks! Greg

Had the same thing happen on a 135hp V6 - there isn't a way to get it out / replace it without seperating the pump - even if you WERE to get the broken one out of there...the hole that it sticks through isn't large enough to fit the new one through. I know taking it apart isn't fun, but it's gotta be done.
