1993 60 hp johnson

Hello there folks. I have a 1993 Johnson 60 horse with oil injection. It really smokes alot when I first start it and REALLY bad after it has sit for an hour or so. What I want to do is to fix it so I can mix my own fuel and get rid of that problem. Does anybody know the steps to disconnect the oiler and the alarm?<br /><br />thanks

May be that your vro pump has a seal failure between the oil and fuel half of the unit.Since the oil line stays primed it weeps through when the engine is not running causing an oil rich startup condition.You can perform a search on thnese forums for bypass procedure if that is what you choose to do.

my elevation is about 3500 feet. thanks for the reply
