1993 90 HP Johnson

I have a 1993 90 HPJohnson on a 1993 363 Javelin Bass Boat. When I increase the throttle to come up on plane my motor takes a long time to build up power to get me going on plane. Any suggestions.

How did it run for you last week ?----Did the issue show up suddenly ?----The first step in trouble shooting is a compression test.---Post your numbers.----Then check and see if there is strong spark on each lead.

Do a cylinder drop test on it .

Compression readings were 120 120 125 125. I did notice that when I worked the throttle while the motor was running in the tub that the throttle response was good. But when I get on the lake and it is under load it sounds like the motor slowly builds up power to go.

Sounds like it might be running on 3 cylinders.---Check for strong spark on each lead.
