1993 Chris Craft Concept 217 BR w/OMC

Original wiring question... On the positive battery terminal lead there are 2 red wires, one thick guage (0-4 guage) that connects the battery to the starter and a thinner guage (10 guage) with a 50 amp fuse (has OMC part # on it) that leads to a harness in the engine compartment. It has a lead that is really long that has been folded back and forth and zip tied... Would this be the lead from the alternator or voltage regulator used to charge the battery?

I do not know the cobra very well at all but I suspect it the wire to the ingition and all the power relays. Follow the wire does it go to the alternator. Most I have seen the alternator wire go to the starter solenoid, but easy to reace from the alternator to where ever or from the battery.

Alternator wire is usually not fused because if the fuse blows so does the alternator,
