1993 Evinrude 150 Intruder compression

Looking at purchasing a boat with this motor on it. Compression was 90 across the board. Good? Bad?

It’s low but even. Likely a very high hour motor. It’s a gamble in my eyes. May be worth checking again with a different gauge.

Could this be a low compression engine? Did a little digging and some specs for that year are around 105

I have seen them run just fine with 80 psi I’m just saying it could be a bit on the worn out side. With an even 90 across the board I would want to check again with a different gauge just to be sure.

90 psi is OK as it has compression relief in sleeve
