Tried installing a new cable couldn't get the pin that the cable goes onto at the lower end to move. Wound up breaking the pin off (the silver round piece that the cable ball goes into at the gas assist CYLINDER. New one is 700 bucks. Don't want to get involved converting to power trim. Anyone know if possible to convert to MANUAL operation like those motors that have springs in the bracket? Or a way to work around replacing the gas assist CYLINDER? Thanks

The best fix in my area would be to install a used tilt cylinder like yours or a TRIM / TILT system from a donor motor.----I am too far away for hands on help.
