1993 Evinrude Intruder 150 VJ150GLETR need help with diagnostics

Hi All

I have a 1993 Evinrude Intruder 150 Model VJ150GLETR on my 93 Princecraft Vacanza 22. I have a few issues. lately the tach has stopped working and i have diagnosed 1 bad coil using the spark gap test. I replaced the bad coil with a know working one. what is the easiest test to see if my Regulator/Rectifier is working correctly?

Parts replaced below
all 3 coils
spark plugs
spark plug wires
fuel filter

Other details
engine has its VRO oil injection system in place

The relationship between bad coil and the tach.

No “easy” test but there are published test procedures in the OE service manual or you can try here

I don't think their was a relation between the bad coil and the tach problem. I was low on power so did the spark test and identified 1 coil to have no spark. replaced that one and re tested now have spark. the Tach issue would be related to the regulator/rectifier circuit. on some older models you could bypass the gray tach wire from the regulator/rectifier to the yellow stator wire on the electrical terminal strip. my 93 does not have the strip, has anyone tried this test ? I'm also having trouble disconnecting the connector for the 2 yellow / gray wires from the stator (I don't want to brake the connector)
