1993 Johnson 250 V8

I do not have an engine model book with the boat and I am cusrious if anyone does have one and would know what the maximum RPM range is at full throttle with this engine?

I believe the manual lists the "full throttle operating range" at 5000 to 6000. The powerpack rev Limit is 6700 RPM however.

Set it up as close to the limiter as you can. Turning a V8 5500 isn't going to do much. At that rpm you might as well get a V6 and save carrying around all that weight.
