This is a great board! I have a J60TLETD motor , serial #G 03311022. Will not start unless red primer lever is moved to manual start. I put a can of tuning oil in it, let it soak, and cleared it. Also put new plugs in it. Still won't turn over when primer lever is in RUN position, i have to switch it to manual. She fires fine and runs great after that. I'm using Dhadley's method, pump bulb, turn key ON, push key in and hold 8 count, release key, then turn to START. Is there something I'm missing in a cold start procedure? Why won't the motor fire in the RUN position?

Put your finger on the solenoid and have a person push the key in for "choke" and see if you can feel the solinoid "click". If it don't, check the power connection and see if you got 12volts to the solenoid. Apparently, your getting fuel to the primer.....since it will start with the red lever in the manual position. We just need to figure out why you don't get it from the key switch.
