Anyone able to help with my two issues?

1. I have a Johnson 70 hp2-stroke outboard attached to a 1985 Forester Open bow. When I turn on the engine it idles fine. Then an alarm sounds from the controls(beeping noise). This boat was not supplied with an oil tank and has no connections for a oil tank. I mixed oil in the fuel 50:1 and the fuel line w/ primer is connected to the fuel line into pump after filter. But the oil line(to the motor) has nothing connected to it. Is there anyway to turn this sound off? Or do I absolutely have to install an oil tank in order for the fuel pump to mix the oil and fuel.

2. This same boat fuel gauge is inop. and will not work even though the fuel tank is full and the wires are all connected correctly. Any thoughts on troubleshooting this concern.

Thank you from a first time boat owner

Are you sure the alarm is a fuel alarm, or could it be a temperature alarm?

I am not sure. Its coming from control panel. The only difference from OE (I Believe) is the oil line that is not connected.
