1993 mercruiser 3000 rpm cutout

130 hp mercruiser 3.0 still not sure why its bogging after 3000 rpm. could it be lack of fuel pressure from pump? im lost

my 165 would rev up fine to ~3200 rpm and just bog down. also ran fine below this rpm. rebuilt carb, did a tune up, still had bog. replaced ignition coil and problem was gone.
