1993 Mercury 40hp electric oil injected good?

I am rebuilding a 16 foot into a cc fishing machine and was looking at this motor at a local marine shop.


Is there anything in particular to look for here? Is there any reason to steer clear of this year/hp/brand combo?

Thats a 44cu.in.m engine thats been built since 1959 they are trouble free. Probable the best single outboard ever built, for sure one of the longest production runs in the history of outboard sngines
