1993 OMC Trim/Tilt Problem

I have a 1993 Playtime 2000 Classic with a 3.0L OMC Cobra. While trimming the drive up, I heard a snap. I stopped and checked things out, found no problems then continued in. When I went back out an hour later, I noticed that any time I trim the drive the engine "bogs" down. The voltage wil drop from 14.8 to 12.3 either with the dash gauge or a meter. When trimming without the engine running, the voltage drop is only about 1 volt which is about what it has always done.

The altenator (65amp) was replaced in November.
The battery was replaced July of last year with an Interstate marine battery and was maintained over the winter.

Any ideas?
