I wonder what prop would be best for my outboard I am currently running a _13 x 19 - k Stainless (pretty dinged up)___ on my 115hp 2 Stroke Yamaha the motor is on a 1994 Jetcraft Pro-stealheader 18ft fully welded hull with a less then 6 degree dead rise ( Made for a jet pump). I always run at over 3000 ft elevation and usually don't have much of a load.

I had it out this weekend and ran about 5200 RPM at 39 MPH (GPS)the water was super choppy with tons of wind, i also had a full top and curtains on
I do have the motor mounted on the 3rd hole on the transom mount

Any suggestions? pitching up (21 or 22 for my top end? I am more looking for fuel economy and top end as my boat does not have much of a Vee.

What RPM should i be running for my elevation>?
I am also looking for a spare prop so I have flex room for prop testing
I never pull skiers so I'm not looking for a fast planeing prop.
The hull jumps right out of the water so no lag there.

Thanks

From your description I think your doing pretty good. If I remember right at 3000 ft your power is down about 6% And thats if you have up graded
to the proper jets.Heavy wind and lots of chop top up I would say your doing well.
Get us your lightly loaded wot rpm and gps speed light chop top down little wind.
Your rated rpm is 4500 to 5500, Motors do best propped close to the max rpm. Your well within range at 5200.
Unfortunately your numbers under those conditions aren't able to tell real details about your setup.
If you increase pitch you will lower the wot rpm and reduce power.
Get us the numbers I suggested ,we can tell better what changes might help.

Being a manual trim engine, trim your boat at a hole that gives boat and cav plate running paralle to water level when on plane at speed. If you're achieving so, third hole is ok. Test that combo lightly loaded with you alone on falt calm no wind water cond. Once engine is revving between middle to max wot numbers factory statet for that engine, can run engine at the throttle range you feel most comfortable with.

Happy Boating
