1994 200 hp jonhson

have problem with several things happening at same time first key will not turn engine off and neither will kill switch engine is misfirring and tach is reading wrong rpms engine warning horn came on shortly after and would stay on with key turned on and engine not running. Islated warning horn to shorted Port temperture sensor . any thoughts on the rest or my problems?

Start with the key and kill switch not working. I have a manual that only goes to '90 but it looks like the black and yellow wire from the p/p plugs into a connector. When the key or kill switch are in the off position, they ground that black and yellow wire. If that plug is not making good contact, that would cause your problem.<br /><br />The tach usually starts acting hokey when the rectifier heads south. Is the battery charging?
