Hey there guys, I could use a hand. Just got my 1st boat. Finished rebuilding the carb and replaced the impeller but now I have a hose line that goes to nowhere. All my lines for my solenoid are spoken for, as well as my carb lines. Theres just one 5/16 line about 3in long that splits off into 2 separate lines. They dont seem to connect to anything. Help a newly out?

What if my engine didnt come with one? I reached out to marine engine for parts and they said for this 94' it didnt have one. Is that right or do all marine engines have one? Thanks for the quick response btw!

Post a picture of the primer solenoid valve and where the hoses off it go.----Seems to me those have to do with the primer.----Agreed not all these motor had the airbox.----I think it was left off of these starting in the early 1980's models !!!

I have 3 nipples on the solenoid. 1 to the pump, 1 capped off, and 1 to the top of my carb. The carb is fed from a line that branches off before the solenoid.

I put it all back together last night. I'm going to try and test the motor on Thursday and see if it's a breather line. I'm still collecting parts to get it going. What do you guys do with your old gas btw? I've got 9 gallons of pre mix that's 3-5yrs old and am debating on giving all the tanks that came with the boat to my neighbors landscapers?

I think one line comes from the primer.----Goes to that tee.-----One end goes to the manifold.----One end to the carburetor.-----Model # of your motor ?-------It is possible that your motor was manual start at one time and electric start added ?------Sorry , I can not see, hear or feel your motor !

That's just it, I thought exactly the same thing. I have 2 nipples on my carb, one that's fed from the pump, and one on top that goes to the solenoid. The other line on the solenoid is also fed by the pump. There is no where for those to hook up. The motor came with electric start from Johnson. Model #J28ESLEDT.

This is my 2nd post in the same topic. Could use pictures of solenoid and carb setup. Having trouble finding a home for mystery 5/16 lines.

Good luck with sorting this out.
I found the old owner! Apparently he converted it from oil injection to premixed. He was not the original owner and had no clue what the hoses were but does this bit of info give better insight to what they might be?

Hey everyone, thanks for your help. I figured it out this morning. The 6in hose broke off the tee on the manifold and left a one inch section that through me off. Sorry it took a couple weeks to pull my head out of my butt. Pics posted if someone new to boats finds this thread.
