Was out on the river yesterday, just out cruising around with friends and family. Ramped some giant waves lol not on purpose. Probably did at least 20-30 mile trip and on the way back to the dock. We was cruising around 25mph and it felt like it shut off on me, everyone flew forward, it was that abrupt. When it slowed down I was able to hear the motor sputtering to stay running. It stalled completely took a few minutes to start back up. Started cruising again, few minutes later it did it again. After this time I started limping to boat back to the dock witch was far away still. I had to cruise at around 4.5-5mph according to GPS. The tach was around 800 which I think the tach is broken. If I pushed it to 1000rpms it would sputter and bog out again. I tried pushing it a few times at wot throttle and it would last for a few seconds and then shut down again. Let's just say it took us 4 hours to make a 20 average boat ride. I was furious I have never had any problems froom the boat, been out a dozen times this year. On top of the 4.5mph trip we was fighting upstream current. I'm thinking it's something electrical as in the pickup coil, ignition control module or even the coil. I have replaced the cap, button, wires, plugs, fuel filter, fully rebuilt carb, new head gasket and all upper end gaskets all around beginning of the year. Sorry for the long confusing story but that 4 hour ride really pissed me off.
