I just bought a 1994 Bluewater open bow with a 4.3L alpha one. I bought it from a super nice family that upgraded there boat and no longer needed this one.
I have taken the boat out twice now and every time, at the dock it takes forever to start. I pump the throttle a few times and start cranking... eventually it start after a few 20sec cranking rounds. Once it starts and warms up it's fine. I anchored up let the kids play, fished, chilled then left 2hrs later stated right up (maybe 6sec or cranking). I asked the family I bought it from and they said they always had that problem too. The guy said he rebuilt the carb so not sure what the problem is. It's embarrassing at the dock just cracking away on this boat. Also when I "hammer down" leaving the no wake zone it feels like it bogs sometimes..not warm enough?
