1994 5.0 starts and runs great BUT....in rough waters and bouncing it wants to stall?

1994 5.0 starts and runs great on my 21' wellcraft, BUT....in rough waters and bouncing it wants to stall and does? So yeah whats up with that....it is a carbereted engine...i was thinking maybe the fuel pick up is sucking in air when the boat goes up and down? When there is little or no bouncing it runs fine. Ideas/thoughts anybody?

My parent's boat used to do that when it had water in the gas.

Ok thanks but i kinda doubt that since it runs and starts fine normally.
