1994 60 HP Mercury power problems

Hi There,<br /><br />I could use some advise on how to handle a problem I have with my 1994 60HP Mercury.<br />When I start the engine the boat runs fine, lots of power. After boating a high power for about a minute it starts holding back. If I shut down for about 5 minutes and start it up again it runs great for about a minute again. Thought that I might pull a vacuum in the tank so I opened the gas fill plug, same problem. Any suggestions ???<br /><br />Thanks Marcel

Check for overheating.

you might try squeezing the bulb when she starts to bog. if squeezing the bulb helps her to pick up, i'd look at the fuel pump.<br /><br />how do your water seperators/fuel filters look?
