I'm having an issue with the wiring between my relays and tilt motor. My tilt stopped working so I replaced my tilt motor, replaced the relays and cleaned the connections on the bottom of the relay housing. The relays make a clicking noise when I hit the switch but the red wire coming into the relay is heating and smoking. I've checked for any corrosion further down but don't see any. The only thing I had an issue during installation with is the new wires on the tilt motor are blue/green and the two wires from outboard motor are blue/white. I hooked blue to blue and white to green. Anyone have any suggestions why the motor isn't working still and why the red wire going to relay is overheating? Thanks!
