1994 Force 120 stator

Can you tell me how to test a stator on a 1994 120hp? My engine is turning over but there is no spark. I have been told that the stator is bad, but I would like to check for myself.<br /><br />Thanks

I just used a multimeter to check mine but I had an open circuit so it was easy to check.

To check the output of the stator you will need a DVA meter.<br /><br />TMD
