1994 johnson 175 HELP!!!

no spark on any of the cylinders, when i remove the packered 5 pin plug i get fire. is this a sign of the power pack going out. i checked all wires from the kill switch to the key switch, those check good, i replaced the key switch hoping i was getting a false reading, that did not work, i am at a dead end. help

Your kill circuit is grounding somewhere. Its a black wire with a yellow stripe. From your explanation about unplugging the harness then I'd say your problem is from the plug forward. Could be your safety switch. That's the first place I'd look.
