1994 Johnson 70 high speed miss

my 70hp has a high speed miss, very slight but can feel it kick in and out at high speed
has recently had new plugs, fresh carb rebuilds, and new fuel filter
any ideas??

are you sure a plug wire is not arching to the block. start it on muffs at nite.

you know yesterday we were out in it and i heard a clicking under the cowl, pulled the cowl and a plug wire was hanging, put it back on and the clicking (of course) stopped but did not stop the high speed miss, so like you said maybe there is a cut/crack in the wire
will replace all 3 and advise
