Okay, I just got the Johnson Outboard. I have a few problems with it. 1.) When i put the motor into gear it will die after about a minute or so. If I put it back into neutral rev it up for a few second and put it back into gear it will throttle up. It just seems to bog down after it has been idling too. Also, I don't hear a warning horn when I turn my key on. If this normal? Where is it located in order to make a repair?

horn is in controller, what have you check on the motor, compression, spark, fuel delivery. 99% it is contaminated carbs, complete cleaning, rebuild kits, then linc n sinc. should have you running. when was the water pump last serviced. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=299680
