1994 V4 115 Johnson Bubble back no oil alarm

I have a 94 bubble back that keeps giving me the no oil alarm. Alarm comes after a few minutes of running. I replaced the oil tank cap in case it was not venting properly. All the oil lines appear in great shape and I just ordered a new VRO. Installed the new one and they shipped me one that is leaking like a sieve from the air chamber. Sending it back however the new pump sounded the no oil alarm as well. I did the oil consumption test on the old VRO just prior to ordering a new one and ran it 45 Minutes by slowly adding oil. No alarm. Back to the tank and alarm cane back. Ordered the new pump just in case gravity assisting and giving it just enough oil. Also wet compression test is about 128 on cylinder 2. 125 to 130 on the others. I am stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am bound and determined to get one summer out of this motor before upgrading to a larger motor. I am running premix until I have this sorted out.

Also would like to note I have primed the oil line prior to reinstalling the oil line. Appears that oil is making it to the carbs.

If the air motor was bad on the new one I would expect an no oil alarm...I am surprised it ran with a bad air motor. Personally have never received a bad o e out of the box.

Air in the mix chamber would throw it off? Very far fetched but do you think my problem could have been the oil tank vent on the 1st one and that just by chance the oil alarm on the new VRO is from the leak. I'm pissed that a new one is leaking. It looks like they over tightened the air chamber cover.

No, if there is a leak in the air motor it would not pump as well, if at all...

+1 on what part number, manufacturer, and possibly the seller.

There are some shady sellers selling Chinese clones/knockoffs advertised as OEM.

I will not buy from any non-established retailer not rated/reviewed as decent or better from various boating forums.
