1994Mariner,60hp

I've got fuel to carbs,carbs are clean,hoses are good,if I spray gas in carb,will run,short time,it will pop like shotgun going off,Oh and have replaced coils,stator,does it hirt anything,not having jet pump installed

Firing order?

When you replaced all the electric bits, are you sure you got all the wires in the right place?

Yes,quite sure,it had instuctions with it,I thought you might say it was the timing

I got it running,top carb. had needle stuck,replaced it,it runs,but still back fires

Motor runs,is firing on all cylinders,has new coils,plugs and wires,but it pops when running,I think its the same cylinder,if you rev real high,popping seems to stop,any ideas,I have Selco repair manual,have checked all wiring,stumped
