Well guys its been a year and a half, its finally fixed, the lean sneeze is gone the acceleration bog is gone. Took it to the shop, the guy checked my fuel system, it was good. Checked my spark and ignition system it was good. He ended up putting a syncronizing tool on the carbs. Neat little deal, you unscrew your midrange jets, put this brass tube in there and screw the jet right back to the front. It has a fitting right in the middle of it to hook your guage too. Then you put the motor in the water and start it, you proceed to get as much air as possible to each individual carb. They all need to be close to each other, in other words syncronized. My carbs have the air idle screws so you turn them until you get them all the same. Well that did it, fixed. I've had it out twice now and i still pump the primer bulb after i've been setting for awhile. I've had no problems and its pretty warm in the 80's, no mythical heat soak, vapor lock garbage going on either. I'm almost scared to put this can of engine tuner in it now, lol. Anyway i don't know if this will fix anyone else's problem.... but it fixed mine. After chasing it for a year and a half i may just go celebrate and have a few beers. Its nice not to be scratching my head over this thing anymore, its like a huge weight being lifted off my shoulders, thank the lord. I guess i'll stop calling it a lemonrude now, until it messes up again, lol.:D:D:D:D:D Happy days are here again!

My question is has the problem been resolved from your 8/2008 posting saying finally fixed. I have a 1996 Evinrude Intruder 150 that is doing the same as your 175.:(
