1995 20 HP Mercury Potential Problems ?

I am looking at a low hour 1995 20 HP Mercury two stroke. This engine will be used on a 12' Carolina Skiff . The intended use is in salt water and I plan to use Royal Purple synthetic pre mixed mixed at 50:1 .

Does anyone have any first hand experience good, bad or tips on this particular engine ?

Is this engine made by Tohatsu ? If so is that a good thing ?
